How do I install Dragon Medical One on my computer?

When you purchase Dragon Medical One, you will be emailed complete instructions to install, as well as the option to book an Onboarding session with our technician who would be happy to install for you, and also give you an initial walk-through.

I get an install error, what should I do?

Ensure you are following the instructions from your "Getting Started" email. If you experience issues, book your onboarding session, and a technician will assist with the install.

What are the system requirements?

Dragon Medical One uses very limited system resources, since the transcription occurs in the cloud. You will require a basic Windows 10/11 PC, and a reliable internet connection.

What type of microphone do I need?

Any good quality microphone will be compatible, however it is highly recommended you do not use the built in microphone on your computer as the quality is low, which will lead to low accuracy. For a list of recommended microphones, please click here. Dragon Medical One also comes with the free PowerMic Mobile app which turns your smartphone into a wireless microphone.

What type of support is included with your product?

Dragon Medical One comes with unlimited support for the life of your subscription.

Where do I get training for Dragon Medical One?

You will receive an initial onboarding session with our technician when you purchase Dragon Medical One. Dragon Medical One also has built-in tutorials that will take you through many key features of Dragon. You may also book additional training here.

Dragon Medical One comes with over 90 medical specialties built in, 30 more than the previous version of Dragon Medical.

Is my EMR/EHR compatible?

Dragon Medical One allows you to dictate nearly anywhere there is a flashing cursor.

Can I control my computer by voice?

What happens when a new version comes out?

Dragon Medical One will always be the latest version because it is cloud based. It is constantly updated and improved.

Can I share my version of Dragon Medical One with other doctors?

No, each doctor must purchase their own license for Dragon Medical One. Dragon learns from your unique voice and mannerisms of speech.

How many computers can Dragon Medical One be installed on?

Dragon Medical One can be installed on an unlimited number of internet-enabled PC's, allowing you to access your profile anywhere you like.

Is Dragon Medical One a one-time purchase or a subscription?

Dragon Medical One is a subscription cloud service, which has an ongoing monthly fee. It has automatic updates, so you will always be using the latest version.

Can my profile be moved over to Dragon Medical One from Dragon Practice Edition?

Parts of it can. Your vocabulary and commands can all be exported and moved to Dragon Medical One, but the training that has been done unfortunately cannot.
